This past week's treasure hunt was quite fruitful!
Here's what I bought:
hmmmmmmmm... wonder what I can make with all these cool items?!?!?!
BTW, my total cost was 55 cents!
A booklet of beautiful vellum papers - cost 25 cents
A box stuffed with clock numbers (and a couple of packages of clock hands) - 25 cents
A partial roll of beautiful ribbon - 5 cents
Here's the card I created:
This is where the EXCITING NEWS comes in!!! Woo Hoo!!! I've been asked to be part of the design team for Stamp 'n Doodle!!! I'm so excited! I was not familiar with this stamp company, but oh my... was I thrilled when I looked at the Stamp 'n Doodle store. There are so many beautiful images - many of them very realistic looking images like this wildlife image of two cute little lion cubs named You Calling Us Momma.
If you look closely at my card, you'll see that my printer malfunctioned. The image, which is supposed to be black/white, has a streak of pinkish/purple ink running through it. This is NOT a problem with the image, but rather with my printer. I was going to reprint it, but then reconsidered. I thought it added to the artsy look of my Treasure Hunt card.
I used four of the dots from the assorted clock numbers for some bling on my card. I also used the "X" and the "O". Hmmmm... you may be wondering about that. LOL! Yes, XO is the common symbol for hugs and kisses, one that I use often when corresponding with my children who live many too many miles away from this Momma. This card will actually be going to my daughter because it reminds me so much of her. A number of years ago, when she was a senior in high school (she's now a college graduate working on her Master's), she and I went on a mission trip to South Africa. While there, we were able to go to a wildlife reserve. She was delighted to get to hold an adorable baby lion in the petting area of that reserve. (Brittney, I know you often check my blog, so if you're reading this... x0x0x0!)
