Treasure Hunt!
Here's the treasure I found while at yard sales last weekend:
A bag of over-size puzzle pieces - cost ten cents
I wanted a blank puzzle piece for my creation, so I simply peeled the slick picture image off of the chipboard puzzle piece.
Now, before you look at my card creation, let me ask you... have you ever had a card that looked better in your head than it did when you created it? Wellllllllllllllllllll... this is one of those times for me. LOL!
Here's a close-up of the image/puzzle piece. I paper pieced the image, except for coloring the little girl's face with a Copic marker.
Treasure Hunts + a Dose of Creativity = Fun!
Image: Me & My Big Ideas Kirsten
Ink: Memento Tuxedo Black and Copic marker
Cardstock: Stampin' UP! Pink Passion and Summer Sun
Designer Paper: Amscan Inc. and scraps from my file (for paper piecing)
Embellishments: Walmart craft ribbon, two purple heart brads, and a yellow flower brad
Cute, cute, cute!!! Love the idea with the puzzle piece!! I really need to stop at a couple yard sales this weekend and see if I can have this kind of fun!!!

ReplyDeleteNow that's creative :) I have yet to play with my "nakie" chipboard, lol - I hoard it, then it just sits and waits for some inspiration! This gives me great ideas for kid's projects, too!
