Stitching with a SMC Challenge

April 9 - 15

This week's challenge is a TECHNIQUE Challenge. Participants must use stitching somewhere on their project. It can be real stitching with a machine, faux stitching, pen/marker stitching, whatever your fancy.

Sew Many Cards is pleased to have Stitchy Stamps sponsoring this week's challenge.

SPONSOR PRIZE PACKAGE

3 Free Digi stamps of winners choice from the Stitchy Bears Store

SPONSOR BLURB:

Hi Everyone, my name is Stitchy and I create under the name Stitchy Stamps. I have been creating digital images for designers for almost a year now and try to learn something new everyday. I started out in paint shop pro about 8 years ago and started making digital scrap kits; then I was introduced to the wonderful world of paper crafts and card designing... like I said, learning new everyday, the rest is history. I can't draw enough to keep me satisfied anymore lol.

Living in a small town in upstate New York, tucked away where cable doesn't even go...friends are far and few between. But being on the internet for the past 10 years, I have gathered quite a few from around the world. Just like I learn something new everyday, I also try to meet someone new every day too. Thank you Angela and Company for allowing me to sponsor for you. I am truly honored.

Thank you, Stitchy Stamp for sponsoring SEW MANY CHALLENGES this week!

My Challenge Card

Technique Used: hand stitching

Sew Many Cards Watering Can Hearts image

(This image is currently a Freebie at the Sew Many Digital Stamps Store)

In keeping with the patchwork on the image, I created a matching paper pieced patchwork on my card and stitched it in place with crochet thread. I used the same crochet thread to stitch around the upper right corner of the image piece.
Stitching is fun... give it a try! And post a link to your card on the Sew Many Challenges blog. You might win the incredible prize that Stitchy Stamps is giving away!
I'd like to take this opportunity to thank Angela and Jeri of Sew Many Cards for allowing me the privilege and fun of serving on the design team these past three months. It has been a real joy!!! I am delighted, thrilled, so excited, to have been asked to continue to serve on their design team for the coming term. THANK YOU! I'd also like to thank my fellow design team members for the pleasure of working with them. It has been great!
Please Note: I've entered this card in the Pals Paper Art Challenge this week, too. Their theme is flowers.
