Luv U

You've probably noticed that every Friday I post a card I've made with Sew Many Cards images. This Friday is no exception, but this Friday is also special since, Sew Many Cards has a sponsor this week. The Design Team has been given images from The Cutting Cafe to use in our weekly creations.

The Cutting Cafe images are wonderful, love-themed images, perfect for this month in which we celebrate Valentine's Day. Oh, and on the 4th my dear sweet husband and I also celebrated our anniversary, so this is indeed a month of love.

For my card, I used part of the Cutting Cafe's Valentine 2 image from the All About Valentines Day set. The image really is a set of four letters L O V E and the word you. But I wanted to be a tad bit creative, so I took my square punch and punched out just three of the letters and used a conversation heart with the words Luv U from the same set in place of the "O".

I wanted the letters to have some color, so I sponged some Stampin' UP! ink onto them, first in Pixie Pink and then with just a touch of Gable Green. I also sponged (quite heavily) Pixie Pink ink onto the Luv U heart.

To complement this Cutting Cafe image, I used the Toga with Flowers in Mouth image from Sew Many Cards. This turtle is too too cute! I love his eyes. To give Toga some dimension, I printed the image twice so I could pop his head and the flowers he's carrying up off of the image with his body.

I added some heart-shaped brads to complete the love theme. The flowers border was created with a Martha Stewart punch. And of course, I needed some bright pink ribbon to add a bit of color.

I hope you'll check out the images available at both The Cutting Cafe and Sew Many Cards... and be sure to have fun creating a card this month for the one you love.

Luv U!
