This image is called Mum Blossom. Isn't it a stunning image?
I wanted to give the flower some dimension, so I printed three copies of the digital image, all the same size. I colored them with my Koh-i-noor colored pencils. One image was cut out in its entirity. The other two were only partially used, to give the layers the flower needed.
In hindsight, I think it would have been fun to reverse the layers, leaving the flower center down inside the other layers. I'll have to give that a try next time I use this image.
