SNOW WARNING!!! from a KitCat

I always look forward to our KitCat post each month. Remember, it's six online friends, working with the same products (one member is the hostess each month) as we create a card or other item. This month it was my month to put together the kit, so I'm especially excited to see what the other KitCat's did with it! But first, let me show you my creation... then you can travel with me to the other blogs.


Because it's January and most of us get to experience some snow (I'm sorry, Kelly, I know you don't there in southern Florida) I decided to go with a wintery theme for the kits. Choosing the image was time-consuming. Do you know how many adorable snowmen are out there?!?!? I finally went with Too Much Snow by Plum Purdy.



All of the card elements are listed below, so I won't bore you with the details, but let me tell you about the fun element - the SNOW! I only used a small amount of it on my card (see the snow on the snowman's hat). But it was SNOW much fun! I took two styrofoam balls and rubbed them together to create fluffy, delightful snow. (I read about doing this somewhere, but can't for the life of me remember where. I wish I knew so I could give the appropriate credit. I'm sorry!) This really is a fun technique. I hope you'll try it soon.

    holly (from squigglefly) did a thing on the styrofoam snow. i love the snow it makes too!

    WOW!! Your card is fabulous, of course! What a great kit you set us up with this month! I had so much fun with it, ESPECIALLY the snow!! I bet I used half of it, but then there was this Cuttlebug incident (don't ask)! I love the way you used the brads for buttons here! Too cute!
