Red Light, Green Light

My son Brock is such a fun fellow. He is over six feet tall and a big guy. He's handsome. He's lovable. He has an adorable sense of humor. He makes me smile. He makes me laugh. Sometimes he drives me crazy. BUT I'm always glad that he's my son.

For those of you who don't know this already, Brock is autistic.

It is not unusual for Brock to share a song or poem from his early childhood. For instance, if we're running errands, and I have to stop at a red light, he'll tell me to "Go" and then he'll quote this little ditty from Preschool:

Red means STOP,
Yellow means WAIT,
and Green means GO! GO! GO!

This fun card reminds me of Brock - his favorite toy as a preschooler was his little yellow taxi. I can almost hearing him now repeating that little ditty. And it's making me smile!
